Raised in Southern California and Colorado, my love for music became apparent at the age of 8 when I taught myself how to play drums by ear after church service. During my time at Woodbridge High School, I immersed myself in music by joining drum line, jazz band, and a world-champion percussion ensemble.
After graduating high school in 2010, I was admitted to The Berklee School of Music and The California Institute of Arts, however I opted to continue teaching and performing in San Diego. I went on to attend UCLA where I received my B.A. in Sociology in 2018. During my studies, I was involved in the university's jazz combo and performed regularly around the greater L.A. area.
Shortly after, I relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area where I continue to teach, write, and perform music!
